Not everyone is suitable for LASIK. Find out if you qualify for this life-changing procedure.

LASIK is one of the most performed elective surgeries in the world, with over 40 million procedures done globally. However, it is not suitable for everyone. Here is what determines your candidacy:

Good Candidates for LASIK - Age 18–45 years (stable prescription for at least 2 years) - Myopia up to -10.00D, hyperopia up to +5.00D, astigmatism up to 5.00D - Adequate corneal thickness (>500 microns) - No signs of keratoconus on Pentacam topography - No significant dry eye disease - Not pregnant or breastfeeding

Who Should NOT Have LASIK - Progressive myopia (prescription changing every year) - Thin corneas - Keratoconus or corneal ectasia - Severe dry eyes - Autoimmune conditions - Uncontrolled diabetes

What Happens During Your LASIK Consultation at DSSEH Our LASIK specialist performs a comprehensive pre-LASIK workup including: - Pentacam HR corneal topography - Pachymetry (corneal thickness) - Pupil size measurement - Dry eye assessment - iDesign wavefront analysis

Based on results, they will recommend LASIK, Femto-LASIK, PRK, SMILE, or advise against surgery.

LASIK consultation fee: β‚Ή500 (adjusted against surgery cost if you proceed)
