Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about cashless treatment at DSSEH

Q: What is a cashless treatment panel?

A cashless treatment panel means your health scheme or insurer (such as ECHS or your health insurance TPA) has empanelled DSSEH. You receive treatment without paying out-of-pocket β€” the hospital bills the scheme directly on your behalf.

Q: My ECHS referral is more than 30 days old. What do I do?

Panel referrals are typically valid for 30 days from the date of issue. If yours has expired, visit your ECHS Polyclinic to obtain a fresh referral. Do not delay β€” an expired referral cannot be processed at our end.

Q: Can I use my panel for premium IOLs during cataract surgery?

Most government schemes cover monofocal IOLs as standard. If you wish to upgrade to a premium IOL (multifocal, toric), you may need to pay the difference. Our billing team will explain the exact co-payment before surgery.

Q: What is the Panel Desk timing at DSSEH?

Our dedicated Panel Desk is open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We recommend arriving before 12:00 PM to allow sufficient time for document verification and consultation on the same day.
