  • Passport and a photo ID
  • Your current spectacle prescription
  • Any previous eye reports or scans (e.g. OCT, fundus images)

Recovery & flying home

Most procedures are day-care with quick recovery. After routine cataract surgery or LASIK, many patients are advised they can travel within a few days โ€” but the safe date to fly depends on your procedure and your eyes, so your surgeon confirms it for you. Plan a little buffer for the check-up and, if advised, a post-operative review before you fly home.
