We perform state-of-the-art phacoemulsification (Phaco) cataract surgery using the Alcon Centurion system. The procedure involves a micro-incision of less than 2.2mm, dissolving the cloudy lens using ultrasonic energy, and replacing it with a foldable intraocular lens (IOL). Most patients achieve excellent vision within 24–48 hours.

Dr. Shamsher Singh Eye Hospital is the first centre in the region to offer dry eye diagnosis with the 3nethra Ultima — an advanced ocular surface analyser that gives a complete picture of dry eye disease in a single, painless scan. Where a routine eye check only looks at symptoms, the 3nethra Ultima objectively measures four key parameters, giving our doctors an accurate, evidence-based diagnosis rather than a guess — so your treatment is tailored to the actual cause: poor tear quality, low tear quantity, or gland dysfunction. Dry eye is one of the most common — and most under-diagnosed — complaints we see, especially with rising screen time. If you experience burning, grittiness, redness, fluctuating vision, or watery eyes (a common paradoxical symptom of dry eye), a dedicated dry eye scan can find the real cause.

Our LASIK procedure uses the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer Laser combined with the iDesign 2.0 Wavefront System for personalised laser vision correction. Suitable for myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Most patients achieve 6/6 or better vision within 24 hours.

Our vitreoretinal service covers the full spectrum of retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), hypertensive retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes. We perform pars plana vitrectomy (PPV), scleral buckle, and intravitreal (IVT) injections.

Our cornea service provides advanced management of corneal diseases including keratoconus, Fuchs' endothelial dystrophy, corneal scars, and bullous keratopathy. We perform DSEK, DMEK, and penetrating keratoplasty. Corneal crosslinking (CXL) is available for progressive keratoconus using the Avedro KXL System.

Our glaucoma service offers comprehensive management from medical treatment to advanced surgical interventions. We perform trabeculectomy, Ahmed glaucoma valve implantation, and Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT). Regular IOP monitoring, optic disc and cup-to-disc ratio assessment, and visual field analysis using the Heidelberg HRT ensure precise disease management.

Our paediatric ophthalmology service addresses eye problems in children including squint (strabismus), lazy eye (amblyopia), congenital cataract, and refractive errors. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to preventing permanent vision loss. We offer patching therapy, spectacle prescription, and surgical correction when needed.

Intravitreal (IVT) injections deliver medication directly into the vitreous cavity of the eye. We administer Anti-VEGF agents (Ranibizumab, Bevacizumab, Aflibercept) for wet AMD, diabetic macular oedema (DME), and central/branch retinal vein occlusion (CRVO/BRVO). The procedure is done under sterile conditions and takes approximately 15 minutes.

Our OPD provides comprehensive eye examinations including visual acuity testing, refraction, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, fundus examination, OCT imaging, fundus photography, and intraocular pressure measurement.
