Dr.Shamsher Singh

After the passing away of Dr. Shamsher Singh on April 6, 1987, in an unfortunate car accident, his son, Dr. Sarbjit Singh, also an ophthalmologist, took over the hospital. Dr. Sarbjit Singh later joined the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, in 1993, and returned to India in December 1996. He restarted Dr. Shamsher Singh Eye Hospital, Khanna, on January 1, 1997, and rebuilt the practice, keeping in mind his father’s values of service above self. Those values and principles continue to be a guiding light for taking the hospital forward.
Today, Dr. Shamsher Singh Eye Hospital continues to uphold the values and principles established by its founder. It remains committed to providing high-quality, affordable eye care, and it continues to adapt to the evolving needs of the community. The hospital’s ongoing success is a fitting tribute to the vision and dedication of the late Dr. Shamsher Singh, and the continued dedication of his son, Dr Sarbjit Singh, a true pioneer in eye care.
